Welcoming of the ETS Montréal delegation by the Lyon–Saint-Étienne Engineering Alliance
As part of the Jacques Cartier Talks, the Lyon-Saint-Étienne Engineering Alliance was delighted to welcome a delegation from the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) in Montreal to the Centrale Lyon.
This meeting, focused on dialogue and cooperation, is part of a shared desire to strengthen ties between France and Quebec in the field of engineering education and research.
The ÉTS delegation consisted of Annie Bouthillette, Executive Director of Institutional Relations, and Perrine Cézard, Director of the France Office.
On the French side, the meeting was attended by Pascal Ray, Director of Centrale Lyon, Sylvie Miras, Director of ENISE – Saint-Étienne, Marion Delong, Delegate of the College of Engineering, and Paulina Berganza Becerra, in charge of developing the international appeal of the College of Engineering.
Discussions focused on developing collaborations on international projects, creating short programmes and joint research, and sharing best practices in educational innovation and academic cooperation.
Towards new international cooperation
This meeting provided an opportunity to present the joint initiatives undertaken by the Collège d’Ingénierie Lyon – Saint-Étienne, which brings together four leading engineering schools: Centrale Lyon, INSA Lyon, ENTPE and Mines Saint-Étienne.
The shared objective is to enhance the visibility and international appeal of engineering in Lyon and Saint-Étienne through joint initiatives in training, research and international outreach.
A forward-looking partnership
This Franco-Quebecois exchange illustrates the Alliance’s desire to develop sustainable international partnerships that foster innovation.
Combining academic cooperation, cultural openness and experience sharing, this meeting marks a new stage in the development of joint projects between Lyon, Saint-Étienne and Montreal.
It was a wonderful opportunity for dialogue and sharing, focused on the future of engineering education and research.
