Educations
Lyon Saint-Etienne Engineering Alliance : training courses for a wide range of audiences
Students, professionals and the general public can all study at the College of Engineering, which has developed numerous post-baccalaureate programmes.
These include bachelor’s degree programmes, exchanges between the four schools during the third year after high school of the engineering programme, international master’s degrees, a forthcoming six-year degree, and training programmes for lifelong learning.
Summary
Bachelor's degree level: a Bachelor's degree, 4 specialisations
Lyon Saint-Etienne Engineering Alliance offers a three-year programme after high school, through the implementation of a Bachelor’s degree in ‘Technological and Industrial Change’. This programme trains assistant engineers to be quickly operational and capable of supporting transitions in companies.
Available in 4 specialisations, this Bachelor’s degree offers solid scientific and technical training, with specialisation from the second year onwards for a quick entry into the professional world. This programme places a strong emphasis on learning from companies through a work-study programme.
The Bachelor’s Degree in ‘Technological and Industrial Change’
Established with the support of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, as part of the Lyon Saint-Etienne Engineering Alliance, the Bachelor’s Degree in ‘Technological and Industrial Change’ aims to meet the expectations of businesses:
- Civil and environmental engineering – Transforming construction and renovation practices for buildings and public works.
- Plastics Technology and Industrial Ecology – Mastering polymer materials and eco-design.
- Electricity Network Infrastructure – Focused on the management and digitalisation of electricity networks integrating renewable energies, in partnership with the company RTE.
- Eco-design of Cooling, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems – Dedicated to sustainable climate engineering technologies.
- Nuclear engineering, low-carbon energy and circularity – Designing, monitoring and securing projects in the field of nuclear energy, while contributing to the decarbonisation of the energy mix and responsible resource management.
Engineering degree programme: a third year outside the university to specialise in France
A fifth year may be completed at another school within the Lyon Saint-Etienne Engineering Alliance .
In the fifth year after high school of the engineering programme at one of the four schools of the Lyon Saint-Etienne Engineering Alliance, students have the opportunity to complete part of their studies at one of the three other schools. Students at Centrale Lyon, ENTPE, INSA Lyon, or Mines Saint-Etienne can choose to join one of the three partner schools of their choice for this year of study. This option allows them to diversify their educational experiences and enrich their academic background.
If you are studying at one of the four schools, you can complete a full year in one of the specialisations offered by the schools of the Lyon Saint-Etienne Engineering Alliance: Centrale Lyon, ENTPE, INSA Lyon, and Mines St Etienne.
International Masters
International Masters Acoustics
The Master’s in Acoustics is a two-year programme supported by the Lyon Acoustics Centre (LabEx CelyA, an alliance of the main acoustics research teams in Lyon). The programme is coordinated by Ecole Centrale de Lyon and Polytech-Lyon (the engineering school of Lyon 1 University), in collaboration with ENTPE and INSA Lyon.
